Its been one year since Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote the landmark majority opinion in Obergefell v. Hodges, a long-sought victory for the gay-rights movement. In a historic ruling following a 5-4 vote, the U.S. Supreme Court deemed that marriage is a Constitutional right . No longer may this liberty be denied, Justice Kennedy continued.

Its a recognition that many older gay couples thought they might never see during their lifetime, the legal acknowledgment that love is love.
