A Florida resident is accused of fatally shooting another woman who she believed was having an affair with her boyfriend, according to arrest documents obtained by HuffPost.

Joyce Ann Small, 64, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in connection to Wednesdays shooting of an unhoused woman identified only as Sarai, whom shed previously opened her home to, Miami Gardens police said in an arrest affidavit.

A public defender who is listed as Smalls attorney did not immediately respond to HuffPosts request for comment. But according to the affidavit, Small claimed that Sarai had beaten her up in the past, and that Sarai was purposely agitating her outside the Miami-Dade County library where the shooting took place.
