A 25-year-old woman who authorities say survived nearly a month in a wooded section of Alabama has recalled her harrowing ordeal that ended with her being found naked, sick and visibly scarred on the side of a road.

It was all about finding the road or finding a person, Lisa Theris told ABC News after her weekend rescue. I couldnt even hear any cars the whole time I was out there until the end.

Theris, who told ABC News she is legally blind, became lost in the woods near Union Springs in southeast Alabama after leaving the company of two men who police suspect of burglarizing a hunting camp in Midway on the morning of July 19.
