Two months have passed since Nicki Minaj called Miley Cyrus out on the MTV VMAs stage, and the rapper has some more to say about what prompted the move.

Back in August, while accepting the Best Hip-Hop Video award, Minaj addressed the host directly , saying: "Let's get back to this b**ch who had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what's good?!"

She was referring to comments Cyrus made in an interview with The New York Times about her response to MTV's apparent exclusion of black artists in the Video of the Year category and the subsequent back-and-forth with Taylor Swift .

"If you want to make it about race, theres a way you could do that. But dont make it just about yourself," the singer said. Adding: "What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. Its not very polite. I think theres a way you speak to people with openness and love."

In the latest issue of The New York Times Magazine, Minaj addressed her issue with Cyrus and her cultural appropriation:

The fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls. Youre in videos with black men, and youre bringing out black women on your stages, but you dont want to know how black women feel about something thats so important? Come on, you cant want the good without the bad. If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldnt not want to know that.
