President Barack Obama will tape an episode of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" during a trip to Alaska this week, NBC said Monday.

Obama is visiting Alaska this week to observe how climate change has affected the area. He's also officially restoring the name of North America's tallest mountain, called Mount McKinley since 1896, to Denali.

Obama will be the first U.S. president to appear on "Running Wild," which has featured such celebrities as actress Kate Winslet, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and actor Zac Efron testing their survival skills with host Bear Grylls.
