Simone Biles Launches Into Space In Jaw-Dropping Floor Routine

Simone Biles is officially headed to Paris after a dazzling finale at the Olympic trials.

The four-time Olympic gold medalist wowed the crowd and received a standing ovation for her floor routine on Sunday, which earned her a score of 14.725.

She soared 12 feet in the air on her first tumbling pass her signature triple twisting double tuck according to NBC Olympics , which shared a graphic quipping that she was LITERALLY LAUNCHING INTO SPACE.

Biles topped the trials with a total all-around score of 117.225.

Her floor routine, set to a medley including Taylor Swift s ...Ready For It? attracted applause from the pop superstar herself over the weekend after Biles performance on the first day of trials.

Viewers on social media were awestruck by Sundays performance.

Lee, the reigning Olympic all-around champion, was runner up at the trials with 111.675. Chiles, who won silver in the Tokyo team event, came in third with 111.425.

It will be Biles third Olympics and her chance to replicate her sensational 2016 success in Rio de Janeiro, after she dropped out of the Tokyo games in 2021 to prioritize her safety and mental health.
