Stephen Colbert Has Very Good Reason For Not Airing Trumps Condemnation Of Riot

Stephen Colbert offered a compelling reason for not airing a single second of President Donald Trump s condemnation of his violent supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.

Im not gonna show you a word of his video because he doesnt mean a word of it, the Late Show host said Thursday night.

After being banned from Twitter for violating its policies, Trump returned to the social media platform with a video in which he claimed to be outraged by the violence, lawlessness and mayhem.

Elsewhere on the show, Colbert went to town on the insurrectionists, showing footage of several people in the violent mob and mocking one woman who was upset about being maced during what shed described as a revolution.
