Team USA basketball star Stephen Curry scored political points at the Paris Olympics on Thursday, voicing his support for Kamala Harris as she vies for the presidency.

Curry, the four-time NBA champion and two-time NBA MVP for the Golden State Warriors, praised the potential Democratic nominees energy at a press conference before the favored U.S. opens play against Serbia on Sunday.

Its a very interesting time for our country, for sure, Curry told reporters . Vice President Harris is primed to bring her energy to this campaign and, hopefully, if shes on the ticket, winning the election, its a big deal, to say the least.

Harris, a big Warriors fan and Curry pal who hails from Oakland, visited Curry and his U.S. teammates as they trained in Las Vegas. That was before President Joe Biden withdrew from the race and endorsed her.
