"Supergirl " hasn't even premiered yet and it's already inspiring legions of fans to answer the question: "Who is your Supergirl?" The CBS show follows Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), cousin to Superman, who arrives on earth roughly two decades after Clark Kent started wooing Lois Lane.

On a television landscape increasingly dominated by male superheroes, "Supergirl" stands alone as the only female-fronted superhero show on television. The track record isn't much better on the big screen where female superhero movies have failed to draw crowds or critical acclaim .

On Monday, CBS launched the "My Supergirl Is " campaign, which asks viewers to celebrate a woman who inspires them offscreen. After nominating your mom, sister, or whoever stopped putting Melissa Benoist in hats on "Glee," the website produces a social media-friendly graphic with the name and photo of your Supergirl with her red cape flapping in the background.

The cast of "Supergirl" also took turns talking about their female heroes. Mehcad Brooks, who plays Jimmy Olsen and potential love interest for Kara, jokingly responded, "My Supergirl is Miley Cyrus because she is Miley Cyrus." He later added, "My Supergirl, honestly, is my mom. [She] worked 50 hours a week and still put food on the table. She's a hell of a woman."

"Supergirl" premieres on Oct. 26 at 8:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
