Trump Insider Implies That Democrats Are Behind Anti-Semitic Bomb Threats

Anthony Scaramucci, the financier President Donald Trump once intended to appoint as an adviser, insinuated in a tweet on Tuesday that Democrats are behind the threats against Jewish community centers and day schools across the country.

To elucidate his point, Scaramucci linked to a Breitbart News article about bird-dogging , a tactic Democrats allegedly used to provoke violence from Trump supporters at Trumps campaign rallies:

Scaramucci also tweeted that it was extremely unfair to pin the rise in anti-Semitic hate crimes on the president.

Trump condemns the heinous acts and is eager to find those responsible, Scaramuccis tweet read.

The president has publicly addressed the mounting anti-Semitic threats only once since taking office.

The anti-Semitic threats targeting our Jewish community and community centers are horrible , and are painful, and a very sad reminder of the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil, Trump said during a visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture earlier this month.

These comments came only a few days after Trump silenced a Jewish reporter during a White House news conference for asking about the uptick in anti-Semitic occurrences. Trump decided to interpret the question as a personal attack.

No. 1, I am the least anti-Semitic person that youve ever seen in your entire life, Trump said. No. 2, racism, the least racist person.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the threats, but will not comment on active investigations. Lawmakers have also urged the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security to join the investigation.

The fifth wave of bomb threats that rocked Jewish community centers and Jewish days schools nationwide on Monday brings the total number of threats to over 90. Some JCC locations have now been targeted up to three times.
