Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Wednesday blamed Democrats for death threats against Christine Blasey Ford after she came forward to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault when they were in high school.

Blasey told The Washington Post she publicly told her story because Now I feel like my civic responsibility is outweighing my anguish and terror about retaliation.

But Carlson, on Tucker Carlson Tonight, saw it differently:

She had asked to remain anonymous. Democrats betrayed her and they dragged her into the public eye. Now Ford says she has had to leave her home because of threats. Democrats in the Senate did that purely for partisan advantage. And you should keep that in mind the next time they lecture you about how much they care about women.

Blaseys lawyers said death threats and vicious harassment have forced the California professor and her family to move from their residence.

Kavanaugh denies Blaseys story that he held her down, groped her and tried to undress her when they were teenagers.

Blasey said shes willing to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is poised to vote on Kavanaughs nomination, but wants the FBI to investigate her story first. Judiciary Chairman Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) rejected the demand for an investigation and said he wants Blasey to testify on Monday.
