Tyrese has been single for about a year now, but don't expect a chance to swipe right if the R&B crooner is in your area. The Grammy-nominated singer told HuffPost Live he avoids traditional dating apps in favor of a different kind of online dating.

"My dating app is Instagram. We do it for the 'gram. My DMs is on fire," he said. "I don't really do Facebook when I'm getting at people, that's a different thing. My Instagram and my Twitter -- it's a little heavy in these streets."

Tyrese, who teams up with Rev. Run to discuss love and relationships in the new OWN show "It's Not You, It's Men," said the internet has created opportunities for those who are too busy to meet people in real life.

"At the end of the day, the days of having time to go to clubs and bars and churches and all of these different places where you get to meet people organically, independent of social media, [are gone]. People out here hustlin', man," he told host Alex Miranda .

Not only is online dating convenient, but sparking a relationship on the web just isn't as taboo as it used to be, he added.

"Having a social life, it's not as normal as it used to be. So I think social media has become convenient," he said "You've got a lot of things at your disposal. And it's not taboo."
