In 2009, a little show called The Vampire Diaries premiered (maybe youve heard of it?), and we were instantly hooked.

After eight seasons of blood-sucking, supernatural beings and Mystic Falls festivities, the CW drama is coming to an end . While were sad to say goodbye, were excited to see whats in store. And, of course, were looking forward to Elena Gilberts (Nina Dobrev ) big return. What does this mean for Bonnie? And whats going to happen to Delena ? So many questions!

As we mentally prepare ourselves for the series finale, which airs Friday, were taking a trip down memory lane.

Below, see the cast then and now. Surprise, surprise, Ian Somerhalder and co. havent really changed at all. (Maybe theyre all vampires in real life?)
