Natalie Schmidt

Student, Columbia University

Natalie Schmidt is a sophomore at Columbia University studying Engineering Management Systems. When she's not studying for her statistics, economics, or philosophy classes, she is an editor and writer for The Pensive Post, an intercollegiate political publication. She is also the Director of Finance for the Barnard + Columbia Design For America studio, where she is currently working on a project addressing broken windows policing and accountability in the justice system of New York City. Above all, she loves the outdoors, whether she's hiking in the mountains, swimming and surfing at the beach in her hometown of San Diego, or finding new areas of wilderness to explore.
