FARMINGTON, Conn. (AP) Officers investigating an apparent suicide attempt by a Connecticut man charged in the murder of his long-missing wife were at his house Wednesday for a second day, police said.

A few officers remained at the Farmington, Connecticut, house where Fotis Dulos was found in a vehicle inside his garage Tuesday suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning, police dispatcher Tom Sevigny said.

After emergency responders found Dulos in medical distress, his lawyer Norm Pattis and others initially said that he was dead. Pattis later said he was told his client had a pulse.

Dulos was taken to the hospital in critical condition and transferred to the Jacobi Medical Center in New York City. A hospital spokeswoman said Wednesday she could not share information on his condition.
