Gisele Bndchen is opening up about her divorce from Tom Brady .

In a Vanity Fair cover story published on Wednesday, Bndchen rejected what she called hurtful speculation that she left Brady because of his passion for football. She called it the craziest thing Ive ever heard and explained what really led to the couples divorce in October.

That takes years to happen, Bndchen told Vanity Fair .

Listen, I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever, she said. If theres one person I want to be the happiest in the world, its him, believe me. I want him to achieve and conquer. I want all his dreams to come true.

Thats what I want, really, she continued, from the bottom of my heart.

Brady famously retired from the NFL in February 2022 , only to renege 40 days later to rejoin the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for one more year on the field. (He ultimately retired for good in February .)

When the couple split after 13 years of marriage , speculation centered on Bradys unretirement.

Wow, people really made it about that, Bndchen said. Whats been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle. Its not so black and white.
