Lizzo took to social media to announce that she has QUIT, one day after performing at a record-setting fundraiser for President Joe Biden s reelection campaign.

The singer, in an Instagram post Friday , wrote that shes getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet.

All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it, Lizzo wrote.

But Im starting to feel like the world doesnt want me in it. Im constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views... being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look... my character being picked apart by people who dont know me and disrespecting my name. I didnt sign up for this shitI QUIT.

Its unclear what Lizzo was referring to in the cryptic post.

The singer, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment in a lawsuit filed by her former dancers, has previously gone on breaks from social media and opened up about almost quitting the music industry in the past.

Lizzos announcement arrives after she performed Thursday at a New York event, where former President Barack Obama , former President Bill Clinton and several entertainers took the stage to help raise a record $26 million-plus for Biden.

Ron Zambrano, an attorney for the dancers that sued the singer last year, told NewsNation , Its shameful that Lizzo would be chosen to headline an event like this amid such egregious allegations.

He added: Without getting into the politics, I cant imagine why anyone would want Lizzo representing them in any way given her reprehensible behavior. Its just a terrible look.

The About Damn Time singer has denied the accusations against her in the lawsuit.

A judge last month rejected her attempt to have the case dismissed , though he tossed out certain parts of the suit.
