  • Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, have said they discussed ways to revive the Black Sea Grain deal, which Moscow quit in July.
  • Putin said that Russia was ready to revive the grain export deal “as soon” as restrictions on its own exports were lifted.
  • A Russian drone attack on the Danube River port of Izmail in Ukraine’s Odesa region resulted in widespread infrastructure damage, according to the region’s governor.
  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he will replace Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov a year and a half into the war against Russian forces.
