- Former United Kingdom royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
- Police did not name the individual they arrested but confirmed the arrest of “a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk”.
- Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his title last year over his friendship with the late US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
- Earlier this month, Buckingham Palace said King Charles III will “support” UK police assessing reports that Mountbatten-Windsor gave confidential information to Epstein.
