Film star-turned-politician Hema Malini is the only answer to all the election blues this poll season. Be it her photos from a farm or her forgetfulness about her own work, it’s a delight to follow her campaign on social media.

On Thursday, Malini was asked about the monkey menace in Vrindavan. She said: “Coexistence hai na. Monkey kahan jaega? Problem kya hai, yahan aane waale yaatri Frooti dete hain, samosa de de ke unko kharab kar diya. Unko sirf phal dijiye (It’s a coexistence. Where will the monkey go? The problem is the tourists give Frooti and samosa to the monkeys, they should only give them fruits)”.

In 2014, Malini had said that her priorities would be to bring an end to the monkey menace in Vrindaban, according to PTI

The BJP MP was recently trolled when she shared pictures from a farm on her first day of campaign.

Twitter users were quick to respond, some even asking “dream girl or drama girl?”

Defending the images, Malini told NDTV , “I am an actress, a celebrity. I don’t see this in Mumbai. When I go to the villages, I like that environment and I like it. Even if I acted, it was fun. What is wrong with it? Everybody was happy to see the picture back in Mumbai.”

While pointing out that she has “done a lot” for Mathura, Malini also said that she can’t recollect it now. “Don’t remember much .”
