Maximum city Mumbai woke up to heavy rains on Friday morning. Many parts of the city were said to be submerged because of the torrential rain that also brought down the temperature. 

The arrival of monsoon prompted Mumbaikars to take to Twitter to share their joy, and frustration. 

While the rains brought relief to the city known for its hot and humid weather, it also brought along traffic woes for office goers and students trying to go about their daily lives. 

Some parts of the city looked beautiful because of the rains, while other parts were inundated.
