PUBG Apologises After Indian Players Complain About Health Reminder

Players in India have been receiving pop-up reminders about taking a break.

PUBG Mobile apologised to players in India on Saturday after the popular game began imposing time limits on them through an error called the ‘Healthy Gameplay System’.

Players in India have been receiving pop-up reminders about taking a break. The game also blocked them from playing the game further.

Players took to Twitter to complain about the “health reminder”.

PUBG said the error had been fixed and players would be able to continue playing the game uninterrupted.

A popular battle royale game, PUBG has been criticised for being addictive and for promoting violence.

Last week, two people engrossed in playing the game were run over by a train  in Maharashtra.

The game has been temporarily banned in parts of Gujarat, where 10 people were recently arrested for playing it.

In response to the ban, PUBG said it would work with authorities for a solution. “We are working on the introduction of a healthy gameplay system in India to promote balanced, responsible gaming, including limiting play time for under-aged players,” the company said .
