Allahabad High Court

Lawyer Seema Kushwaha, who is representing the Dalit woman's family, said the court pulled up authorities over midnight cremation.
The family of the Dalit woman, who died last month, left from Hathras to Lucknow amid tight security on Monday morning, accompanied by SDM Anjali Gangwar.
The family said they have not been allowed to move out of their house.
"We would like to examine if the economic and social status of the deceaseds family has been taken advantage of by the state authorities to oppress and deprive them of their Constitutional rights," the bench said.
A writ in the nature of habeas corpus is hereby issued to release Dr Kafeel Khan, the detenue from State custody forthwith, the Allahabad High Court said in its order.
The court said the hoardings that had the names, photos and addresses of 53 people including activist Sadaf Jafar and ex-IPS SR Darapuri were "an unwarranted interference in privacy of people".
Sakshi Misra and her husband Ajitesh Kumar had alleged threat to their life from her father for marrying Kumar, a Dalit man.
