She has taught Gender and Womens Studies courses at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Ashley has researched and written extensively on issues of feminism and gender equity. In 2017, she founded Women Activists, a womens rights activism group in Wisconsin. She has written for Woman's Day, Teen Vogue, HuffPost, Business Insider, The Independent, and more.
