Catholic Relief Services is the official overseasl humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. It was founded in 1943 to serve World War II survivors in Europe and has since expanded to become one of the largest relief and aid organizations in the US, reaching more than 100 million people in nearly 100 countries on five continents.
