Feargal has been Chief Executive Officer of Hostelworld Group since February 2008, having first joined the Group as COO/CFO in 2002. Hugely entrepreneurial by nature, Feargal believes strongly that passionate and enterprising people drive growth in an organisation. In his time at Hostelworld, Feargal has led the Groups expansion into London, Shanghai, Seoul and Sydney and has connected millions of travellers to hostels around the world. Prior to joining Hostelworld Group, Feargal was responsible for financial planning and analysis at Baltimore Technologies and previously held the position of Financial Analyst at Pfizer Inc. in New York. Feargal has an MSc in Investment & Treasury from Dublin City University and a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Galway, Ireland. He is a graduate of the Leadership 4 Growth Management Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business, and is a member of the CFA Institute. Feargals first hostel experience was when he took a train on a whim to Paris with nowhere to stay, he and a friend spent the whole day on foot looking for a hostel with availabilityif only there was better way to find a hostel!
