Steven M. Finn is Vice President of Food Waste Prevention for LeanPath, the global leader in integrated hardware and software systems to prevent food waste. He also serves as Affiliated Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches Global Pennovation, a graduate class for multi-disciplinary thinkers focused on innovation for sustainability.Steve also co-founded ResponsEcology a sustainability and change management consulting firm helping organizations to reduce waste and drive transformational culture change with triple bottom line impact. He combines 25 years of strategy and control experience in the supply chain sector with a passion for sustainability and conscious capitalism. He has conducted extensive research into the problems of food security, water security, and global food waste, and has developed innovative public-private partnerships to capture and redistribute excess food to mitigate hunger. He is a frequent global speaker on food security issues, co-chaired The Last Food Mile conference in Philadelphia, co-founded the Food Systems Seminar at the University of Pennsylvania, and served on the Advisory Board for Feeding the 5000 in Portland, Maine. Steve holds a BA in Economics from the University of Delaware, an MBA in Finance from West Virginia University, and the MSOD and MPHIL degrees in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of several articles on food waste, and serves as a Director on the Board of Rolling Harvest Food Rescue. He is the author of the blog FoodForThoughtfulAction.
