Gary R. Cohan, M.D., F.A.C.P. is a Los Angeles-based Internal Medicine-specializing physician, medical researcher, radio talk show host, political commentator and lecturer. He has become nationally renowned for his pioneering work in Primary Care Medicine, HIV Medicine, stem cell research and for his widely-read medical blog on Facebook.Dr. Cohan received his undergraduate degrees in English and Biology (1982) from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, did postgraduate research (1983) at Cambridge University in England, and completed his M.D. (1987) at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Cohan is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and completed full recertification in 2001. In recognition of his many contributions to the science and practice of medicine and to the community, Dr. Cohan was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (F.A.C.P.) in 2003.Dr. Cohan has been voted a "Super Doctor" by his peers every year since 2012 and was honored by the Hollywood Reporter as the entertainment industry's "Favorite Internal Medicine Doctor" in both 2014 and 2015.
