Jamie Mannina

Jamie Mannina was a Defense and Foreign Policy Advisor for Hillary Clintons Presidential campaign. His area of expertise primarily focuses on a range of nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation issues, Chinese and Russian military doctrine and foreign policy making, and strategic modernization.Immediately prior to joining the campaign, Mannina served as a foreign affairs officer, holding various positions at the U.S. Department of State where his work supported U.S. interests in some of the most challenging policy issues facing the United States Government. Most notable, the negotiation, ratification, and implementation of the New START Treaty with Russia, nuclear deterrence policy, and the development of Department positions and recommendations for future U.S. initiatives to further stability and deterrence, including arms control, transparency and confidence-building measures in bilateral and multilateral contexts in Europe and East Asia. He has been the recipient of a number of Department awards, including outstanding service in support of the 2010 Nuclear Posture Review, and the successful negotiation and ratification of the New START Treaty. Prior to joining the Department of State, Mannina worked for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton as an aide in her Senate Office from 2004 to 2008 and supported her reelection campaign in 2006 and her presidential campaign in 2008. He currently serves as a national security consultant and holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from Le Moyne College and M.A. degree in International Policy and Practice from the George Washington University.
