Jay Rosenstein is a Peabody and Emmy Award winning documentary filmmaker, whose work focuses on vital social issues and giving voice to the stories of underrepresented minorities. His best-known film, IN WHOSE HONOR?, is a ground-breaking work that examines the controversy over the use of American Indian mascots and nicknames in sports, and is still considered the seminal text on the subject. He is currently a Center For Advanced Study Professor of Media & Cinema Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana. In 1981, he attended concerts by the Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, and the Rolling Stones, all in the same week. It was a good week.
