Keith Augustus Burton

Director of the Center for Adventist-Muslim Relations at Oakwood University and Teaching Professor at Claremont Lincoln University

Keith Augustus Burton holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious and Theological Studies from Northwestern University. He is the author of several books and has been involved in interfaith work for over two decades. He is the recipient of the Rabbi Jeffry Ballon Memorial Interfaith Award from the Huntsville Interfaith Mission Service for his successful bridge building initiatives between Christian, Muslim and Jewish communities.In addition to directing the Center for Adventist Muslim Relations at Oakwood University, Dr. Burton also holds an appointment in the School of Religion where he teaches World Religions and other subjects. Additionally, he serves on the Teaching Faculty at Claremont Lincoln University, where he teaches select classes in the Interfaith Action program.Most recently, Dr. Burton was the recipient of a Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program fellowship, which involved field research among Muslims, Christians and Animists in Senegal, West Africa.
