Kevin D. Ward is Associate Professor in the Institute of Public Service at Seattle University where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in public policy, public administration, and nonprofit management. His research interests include national service programs such as AmeriCorps, nonprofit governance, motivations of public and nonprofit employees, and interorganizational collaboration. His research has appeared in Public Administration Review, International Public Management Journal, and American Review of Public Administration. Professor Ward has also held research appointments with the RAND Corporation and the Urban Institute. He holds a Ph.D. and MPA from the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado, Denver and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois. He served two years in the national service program AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps and has recently served as an ambassador for the Franklin Project, an initiative of the Aspen Institute, to increase national service opportunities.
