Lauren Gibbs

30 something LA Native. Brown & Pepperdine graduate. Corp. America Survivor. Bobsled Athlete. Making a run for the 2018 Olympics. Why not?

Lauren Gibbs was born in Los Angeles, California on March 2, 1984. The current resident of Denver, Colorado has a Bachelor's of Art from Brown University. Upon graduation, she continued her education at Pepperdine University, obtaining her Master's in Business Administration. While at Brown, Gibbs was a four-year member of the volleyball team. Her awards included All-Ivy League Academic, Second Team All-Ivy League and team captain, with more than 1,000 career kills. In high school, Gibbs played soccer, volleyball and participated in track and field (long jump, triple Jump, 100.) She was inducted into Westridge School's athletic hall of fame, where she attended from fourth to 12th grade. She was first introduced to the sport of bobsled by Jill Potter, a member of the USA National Rugby Team. She had mentioned Gibbs' power lifting numbers to Elana Meyers Taylor and suggested that she try out for the team.
