CEO & Executive Director, UN Global Compact

Lise Kingo is the CEO & Executive Director of the UN Global Compact and a recognized expert in corporate sustainability. She leads the worlds largest corporate sustainability initiative with more than 9,500 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories from 160 countries that have committed to aligning strategies and operations with universal principles, and taking actions that advance societal goals. Prior to joining the UN Global Compact in 2015, Ms. Kingo was Chief of Staff, Executive Vice-President and member of the Executive Management team at Novo Nordisk A/S that led the company to become the sixth largest pharmaceutical company globally and the largest company in the Nordic region by market capitalization. She oversaw the company's UN Global Compact participation and led the integration of sustainability into its business strategy, including the development of Changing Diabetes to transform how diabetes is managed and ultimately defeat it. Ms. Kingo received the Edinburgh Medal and Tomorrow Magazines Environmental Leadership Award.
