My Spirit. My Art. My Environment. My People. The Entrepreneur. The Artivist. That/AND!

I love music. I love creating it. I love being apart of it. I love the business of it. And more importantly, I love what the power of music can do. I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Grew up in Hawaii. Live in New York. I am a midwestern island gritty city gal with a twang. I am an entrepreneur and Renaissance artistsinger, songwriter, guitarist, graphic designer, and food justice activist. I work closely with artists around the country in multiple areas of creative development. I started my first organization, Volunteer Planet in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2003, where we took on the challenge of voluntourism and developing one of Hawaii's first tourist cultural exchange programs. In 2006 I helped in developing the artist relations area of the Girl Fest Organization and movement. Not only did we do amazing work in the fight to stop human trafficking and violence against women; this is where I developed a strong voice for advocacy and performed on several stages in multiple cities. In these ten years of living in New York City, I have been profoundly involved in the food justice movement. I've helped to create Go Liv; an awareness and data collection campaign started by two other artists and me. The purpose is to disrupt the injustice and imbalance of disenfranchised communities around the food deserts of the inner cities throughout the country. This year I began my creative partnership application business, Kaid N' Kolor. I am working on a number of content and graphic design projects, collaborative songwriting projects, and consulting on artist development and creative concept design.
