Abdul Malik Mujahid isan Imam, an award winning author and a producer with a focus on contemporary social issues, public policy and Islam-West relations.Imam Mujahid is president of Sound Vision and executive producer of the daily Radio Islam at WCEV 1450 AM in Chicago.He is chair emeritus of the Parliament of the World's Religions.Imam Mujahid was selected six times as one the 500 most influential Muslims in the world from times from 2011-2016. He co-chairs One America Coalition to oppose attacks on the Muslim community which included more than 50 major US organizations including ACLU, Color of Change, Daily Kos, J Street, Interfaith Center of New York, NAACP NY, and the Charter for Compassion among others.Imam Mujahid also chairs Burma Task Force USA which is a coalition of 19 major American organizations to stop the genocide in Burma. As the national coordinator of the Bosnia Task Force, USA, he successfully led efforts to declare rape as a war crime. He has served on the independent task forces of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.Imam Mujahid has authored more than 400 articles on Islamic living and public policy. His book on political sociology was the winner of an Outstanding Academic Book of the Year Award by American Library Association in 1990.
