Matthew Chapman has written and directed or just written more than a dozen produced movies starring, among others Johnny Depp, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Peter Coyote, Bruce Willis, Terrence Howard, Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Spacey, and Rachel Weisz. The last film he wrote and directed, "The Ledge" starring Charlie Hunnam, Terrence Howard, Liv Tyler, and Patrick Wilson was in the main feature competition at Sundance in 2011 and was seen all over the world, though banned in some countries. He has also written two books, "Trials of the Monkey - An Accidental Memoir," and "40 Days and 40 Nights - Darwin, Intelligent Design, God, Oxycontin, and Other Oddities on Trial in Pennsylvania." He is the originator, co-founder and president of ScienceDebate.org, which has succeeded in getting presidential candidates Obama, McCain, Romney, Clinton (H), and Trump to answer their 20 "Most Important Science and Environment Questions."
