Melody Boyd is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at The College at Brockport, State University of New York. Her research focuses on urban poverty, housing, neighborhoods, race, and social policy. She is currently working on a collaborative, interdisciplinary project focused on the tradeoffs that families make when facing housing decisions, and the impact these decisions have on young children.
