Michael Maisel

Michael Maisel is the Policy & Communications Associate at Engage Cuba . Previously, he worked at The Huffington Post Media Group, where he oversaw the 90 Miles op-ed series about U.S.-Cuba relations. Also at Huffington Post, he was part of Arianna Huffingtons executive team, managing Ms. Huffingtons international engagements and contributing to her social media accounts. Additionally, Michael wrote for The WorldPost about topics ranging from the 2014 summer conflict in Gaza to the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight 17 over Ukraine.

Prior to working at Huffington Post, Michael held several prestigious internships, such as his time at the White House, Fulbright, and the Council on Foreign Relations.

An NYU valedictorian, Michael studied international relations and wrote his senior thesis on U.S. policy toward Cuba, which was published in the Journal of Politics and International Affairs. He has been featured as an accomplished graduate in NYU newsletters and admissions videos. During his undergraduate studies, he provided on-air commentary for The Kudlow Reports Youth Summit series on CNBC.
