Jordanian-American Journalist

Natasha Tynes is a Jordanian-American media professional based in Washington. DC. She has over a decade of journalism and media experience. She worked at the International Center for Journalists as the director of global training programs and distance learning courses for journalists worldwide.

She also worked as a reporter and editor in the Middle East with Al Jazeera, the Jordan Times and Arabia Online.

Tynes is an expert on the Middle East and has appeared on a number of national and international TV programs, including Larry King Live, PBS's Foreign Exchange with Daljit Dhaliwal, Paula Zahn show, CBSs Morning show, Scarborough Country, BBCs Up all night, among others.

She also a public speaker on issues related to global media development, the Middle East, and citizen journalism where she appeared in discussion panels in various places across the United States including the National Press Club, the National Endowment for Democracy, and the University of Wisconsin, among others. She is a regular contributor to the International Journalists Network (IJNet) where she writes about media and technology.
