Chief Medical Officer of the American Cancer Society

Otis Brawley serves as Chief Medical Officer of the American Cancer Society. He is also professor of hematology, oncology, medicine and epidemiology at Emory University. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, a Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology and one of less than 1300 physicians to be named a Master of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Brawley is also an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine. Dr. Brawley graduated from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Case-Western Reserve University, and a fellowship in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute.
