Executive Director Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation

Roya Boroumand is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation. Ms. Boroumand has a PhD in the history of international relations from France and is a specialist in Iran's post-Second World War history. She is a former consultant with the Women's Rights Division of Human Rights Watch and has worked on women rights and family law in North Africa. Since 2001, she has focused on promoting human rights and democracy in Iran through truth telling, memory, and human rights education.
