Kickass 105-Year-Old Enjoys The Roller Coaster Ride Of His Life

"I was amazed. I was really amazed."

Jack Reynolds is just enjoying the ride that is his life.

On Thursday, the great-grandfather from Chesterfield, England, marked his 105th birthday by becoming the oldest person to ride a non-inversion roller coaster .

He whizzed around the Twistosaurus’ track at the Flamingo Land theme park in Malton to set a new Guinness World Record .

“I was amazed. I was really amazed,” Reynolds said after the stunt, for which he raised more than $450  for his local air ambulance service with the help of his grandson Shane Spencer.

The retiree told ITV’s morning program “Good Morning Britain,” which broadcast his ride live, that he’d only expected to “just go round and round” as he’d previously done on a wooden coaster in the 1930s.

But, he said cheerfully, “every bit were good.”

Reynolds is no stranger to breaking world records, and on being presented with his latest accolade, he joked that he’d have to move out of his bungalow to better accommodate all of his awards.

Last year, he became the oldest person on record to receive their first tattoo  and fly in a Tiger Moth aircraft. In 2014, he took the ALS ice bucket challenge at the tender age of 102.

I’ve lived through two World Wars  so a bucket of ice and water wouldn’t [faze] me!” Reynolds told Yahoo News at the time. “My fun-loving family always set me up for things like this so I had no hesitation to do it.”
