19 Male Musicians Who Give Us Major Hair Envy

YAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS!
|

This post is part of a weekly series celebrating #ThrowbackThursday  with reflections of our favorite childhood memories, past pop culture moments and more!

Many reggae and hip-hop artists throughout history -- from Rick James to Meek Mill -- have rocked their long hair unapologetically.

From picked-out puffs to press and curls and tight braids, musicians have rocked hairstyles that exemplified the ultimate #hairgoals for everyone. Looking at their tresses make us want to never forget to schedule our bi-weekly hair appointment, moisturize our scalps and sleep with a satin scarf on at night.

Since none of these artists have started a natural hair YouTube channel yet (a pity, we know), we decided to pay homage to the glorious manes. Pay attention because your next hairstyle inspiration may lie within the hair of these 19 men:

Although he cut his hair when he was a teen, Shad Moss was mostly known for his braids, but we have to acknowledge this luscious braid-out he was known to rock from time to time.

We're feeling the short 'fro Lenny Kravitz sports nowadays, but his dreadlocks were mesmerizing back in the day.

Whether it was in a lush ponytail or crisp twists, Lil Fizz's hair gave us real hair envy in his B2K days. Like his fellow bandmate, Omarion, he cut his hair, sadly.
Kanye West
That's right. Ye used to have braids. As fresh as they were, we're glad he's rocking a Caesar cut these days.

Romeo Miller was the only fun-sized rapper giving Lil Bow Wow a run for his money when it came to the cornrow game. Lil Bow Wow had the hangtime but Lil Romeo's braid designs were always on point before they both cut their hair around the same time.

There were Jheri Curls aplenty during the '80s and '90s but Eazy-E and a few other rappers put their own spin the style.
Marques Houston
Pigtails on FLEEK! When are you going to start growing your hair again, Marques?
