Chrissy Teigen  got the silent treatment when she introduced husband John Legend’s performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday night.

All election long, the supermodel-turned-political-commentator has delighted us with her refreshingly sane takes on social media, so it was no surprise that she took a moment at the podium to address what was on everybody’s mind.

“This next performer is a brilliant musician and a wonderful father who makes a pretty damn good breakfast sandwich and he has been known to write love songs about me,” Teigen said.

“What can I say? I’m very inspiring,” she added, according to Billboard , continuing, “but his songs are bigger than either of us and on the heels of what’s been a really interesting interesting f**ked up election for all of us, I think we could all use a little love tonight.”

Unfortunately, the AMAs cut Teigen off after “interesting,” leaving all watching at home to wonder what exactly she said.

Almost immediately after leaving the stage, Teigen summed up our reaction to her introduction with the perfect tweet, despite internet trolls shaming her for using “foul language” during an award show.
