Anne Hathaway Was Totally Starstruck When Mariah Carey Showed Up To Her Movie Premiere

"I'm freaking out. Like, she's two arms' lengths away right now."

It's strangely comforting to know that even celebrities get starstuck.

You can be an A-list actress who co-stars with Robert De Niro in your latest film and still lose your cool when you spot Mariah Carey on the red carpet  -- which is exactly what Anne Hathaway did at the premiere of "The Intern" on Tuesday during an interview with The Associated Press.

Thankfully, the freakout was caught on camera while Hathaway didn't hide the fact she was freaking out a little .

"She's at my movie premiere, I mean, it's Bob's movie premiere more than mine," the 32-year-old actress said while pointing out Carey, who was being interviewed nearby.

"I'm freaking out. Like, she's two arms' lengths away right now," she said, before being informed that Carey was having her hair brushed before she stepped on to the rep carpet.

"Of course she was. It's just the best glamorous ever. That's not even a sentence, there's no grammar there. 'The best glamorous ever,' yeah, I went to college... I didn't graduate," she said, mocking herself for getting flustered by the singer's presence.

No word on whether Hathaway ever worked up the courage to talk to Carey, but we hope she did.
