Thanks To Ariana Grande, These Shelter Pups Got One Less Problem

Nothin' but lovin' you, nothin' but lovin' you, puppies.

This is the part when rescue doggies break free, ‘cause they may not live in a shelter no more!

Pop princess Ariana Grande announced at her Tulsa, Oklahoma, concert on Wednesday that she will be sponsoring the adoption fees for a lucky bunch of 20 pups at the Animal Rescue Foundation of Tulsa.

Prior to Wednesday’s show, ARFTulsa was contacted by the concert venue -- the BOK Center --  to arrange a special meet-and-greet between the star and a select group of pups.

“So, we organized our nice, friendly dogs who would like an outing and brought them backstage,” Claire Glossop, ARFTulsa Animal Intake Coordinator, told The Huffington Post. “Ariana was incredibly excited to see the dogs, and said it was one of the best meet-and-greets she’d ever had.”

The event was especially exciting for one pup in particular: Strauss, a middle-aged Yorkshire terrier, found a home with the superstar herself.

And Grande, who has several pooches of her own and is an advocate for animal shelters , made sure other dogs were taken care of, too. Halfway through her performance, she made a callout to ARFTulsa, and shared an adorable Instagram post of herself with shelter volunteers and a handful of tiny dogs, captioned “I hope I can help these sweet angels find some wonderful homes ASAP.”

“We’ve already had a few of the sponsored animals adopted [as of Friday],” Glossop said.

Though Grande has covered the adoption expenses, those interested must still go through the full application process to make sure they are suitable for pet care.

ARFTulsa primarily fosters cats and dogs rescued from kill shelters around Oklahoma, and recently opened their adoption center. To learn more or to donate, click here .
