That Time Artie Lange Made A Sign Language Interpreter Cry On Stage

"The sorority girl came up to me afterward and said, 'We're not paying you.'"

Artie Lange stopped by to chat with HuffPost Live on Thursday and recounted quite the memorable experience with a sign language interpreter during a stand-up gig he and Colin Quinn did at a college.

After conducting an informal poll about whether there were actually any deaf audience members and being told there were not, Lange asked the interpreter to leave because he found her presence "disconcerting." "People laugh, and then they're looking at her," Lange said. But she was obligated to be there, so Lange took matters into his own hands and pushed the interpreter to get a lot dirtier than she expected.
