What does it mean to be asexual in the modern age?

It's not an easy question to answer, of course. Still, 17 asexual people shared their thoughts on the misconceptions surrounding themselves and their community on Whisper , an app through which users share their deepest thoughts anonymously.  

"In my case, just because I identify as asexual doesn't mean I cannot or will not have sex," one user wrote. "It just means I don't have an issue if I never do." 

Added another: "I'm asexual but I still totally want to be married. I'll figure out how that works someday."
