How To Avoid Having Those Dreaded Tadpole Eyebrows

Commandment #1: Thou shalt not over-tweeze!

Despite all the professional threading and waxing salons across the world, tadpole eyebrows are still widespread.

This brow shape , which looks eerily like a developing frog or toad, appears all too often on the faces of over-pluckers, giving a dramatically older appearance and freezing faces into a state of shock.

Over-plucked eyebrows that are shaped like tadpoles will make you look older than you really are.

... and maintain full, natural-looking brows.

Natural, full brows never go out of style.

Trick #1: Don't over tweeze! The biggest mistake is taking off too much, according to celebrity brow expert Damone Roberts . "Unfortunately, some people get to a point where the [hair] follicles are dead." Instead, he suggests giving yourself a "5-minute facelift" by brushing eyebrows up with clear brow gel and trimming hairs that grow above the hair line.

Trick #2: Think ombré when filling in your brows. "It's not really thick and then thin. It’s a gradual ascension," says Roberts. When eyebrows are shaped and filled in at a really fine point, this makes them look stern and much harder.

Trick #3: Use the right eyebrow makeup. For a soft, more natural brow, Roberts prefers to use powders like the MAC Cosmetics Brow Duo . If you have really fine, thin brows, the Veluxe Brow Liner works great to create the illusion of hair with strokes.

Now that you know what to do in order to achieve beautiful brows, watch the video below to learn exactly how to tweeze and trim your eyebrows.
